REFLECTIONS AND HOPE By Maria Saladino
A year is a book we only get to read once. Some pages were book-marked with laughter; others smudged with coffee rings and crossed-out plans. There were chapters we rushed through and moments we wished we could footnote forever. Looking back, it is clear that this year taught us quietly and persistently, often when we were too busy to notice.
We learned how to pause without quitting. How to adapt when the map changed mid-journey. How small wins can carry surprising weight, and how asking for help can be an act of strength rather than failure. We learned that not everything needs fixing, and not every answer arrives on time.
As the calendar turns, the new year arrives without instructions or guarantees. It is a blank page. Full of possibility. A place to write with a steadier hand, a softer heart, and a little more courage than we had before.
Hopes for the year ahead don’t have to be loud resolutions. They can be gentle intentions. More presence. More patience. More room for joy where it sneaks in unannounced. Space to grow, to rest, to re-align when things wobble.
Here’s to carrying forward what mattered, releasing what didn’t, and stepping into the new year curious rather than certain. May it be kind, challenging in the right ways, and rich with moments worth remembering.
As you open a new book, which lessons from this year will you keep close, and which are you ready to leave behind? What inspirations are you most willing to nurture as the new year begins?
Sending you and your tribes joy and love for the festive season.
