At Green Supercamp Australia, the youth are asked to share with the group their learnings, experiences and insights for the different exercises.
Every time after they share an answer with the group, the group acknowledges their effort. Regardless of whether an answer is correct or not, a learning was powerful, short or long.
EVERY EFFORT IS ACKNOWLEDGED. Through either a 2-clap, a thumbs up, or a ‘spot on’ chant. Every effort is acknowledged and the ENTIRE GROUP participates in the acknowledgement.

People feel encouraged to speak up and share.
They feel more respected and appreciated and even more part of the group.
Imagine the opposite: not being acknowledged, or being told ‘that was wrong’ – what would the impact of that?
People would not want to share unless they are absolutely sure their answers are correct and perfect – guess where perfectionism and ‘not wanting to speak up’ comes from…?
