Making Our Difference in the World
The “Why” Behind
Everything we do is infused with the energy of WHY we do it and service to others is the greatest WHY of all.
We support people to discover and express the truth of who they are and embrace the difference they were born to make, because we believe everyone has the desire and the right to contribute their own unique strengths, skills and abilities in a way that feeds their soul and supports those around them. We also aim to support those whose access to opportunities may be more limited than ours.
Elevate Humanity reflects our team’s commitment to “paying it forward” and sharing our time, wisdom, abilities and resources with those who may be less fortunate than us or supporting people or projects that positively impact the lives of many. We are committed to being “ripple makers” in the greatest possible number of lives and communities and we choose to make our difference as global citizens.
The Power of Services
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”. Mahatma Gandhi
B1G1 – Buy 1, Give 1
B1G1 is a Social Enterprise and non-profit organisation with a mission to create a world that’s full of giving. Unlike conventional giving models, B1G1 helps small and medium sized businesses achieve more social impact by embedding giving activities in their everyday business operations to create unique Giving Stories. Every business transaction (and as a result, your everyday activity) can impact lives from as little as just 1 cent.
The most powerful aspect of B1G1 is that every dollar we contribute, goes to support the charity of our choosing. Those who register their children to participate in our Green SuperCamp® Australia programme now also have the opportunity to give to B1G1 as part of the registration fee for their child. Therefore, as one child’s growth and development receives a boost here in Australia, so too can children in less fortunate circumstances.
The Growth Project
The Growth Project is a non-profit organisation that supports small, successful for-purpose organisations to maximize their impact on the world. They do this through development programs for non-profit leaders that help grow their knowledge, skills and leadership potential. But they’re not doing it alone. They bring together an inspired group of supporters who believe in the power of engaged giving. They share their time, knowledge and resources to help develop the future leaders of Australia’s non-profit sector. Together, we are taking care of those who care. Our contribution to this programme ensures the participants get access to the very best intellectual property we offer and enjoy the benefits of any ongoing opportunity we can create to support them and those they serve.
Shikshangram Shelter For Children
The Shikshangram programme is based just out of Pune, India. It’s vision is to form a new society based on equality, non-violence, loving kindness and spiritual understanding through the system of education. Their mission is to serve homeless children to encourage a better childhood and to help them become responsible individuals and spiritual human beings.
They achieve this by providing food, shelter, clothes, medicine and quality education.
The Shikshangram Shelter for Children is home for approximately 140 children from the age of 4 months to 16 years. Our support helps promote the work of this wonderful programme and encourages sharing of information, teaching materials and resources that support the children’s learning and development.
Picture The Coast
The Picture the Coast project involves taking and digitally merging more than 150,000 photos of the coastline of Australia, to create a complete 550m long photo for public display. The project is the brain-child of businessman Hish Fernando, who said the project came about during a business meeting this year when he asked a keen photographer and sailor how many beaches there are in Australia. Hish had read the answer, which is 10,685, on a beer bottle cap, proving that wisdom can be found in strange places. The pair formed a venture to capture all the country’s beaches and Hish is rallying support for the $1.52 million project, which he intends to make available for public display, allowing people who may never travel the cost to experience the very edge of the country we all call home. Our involvement in this project is to demonstrate that social entrepreneurialism can have a wonderful impact on people’s lives and that a great idea can make magic when people join forces to create something wonderful from nothing!
Sabu International School
Sabu International School is distinct among many learning institutions in the Mano River Union Basin, West Africa. The institution was founded in the wake of the continuous violent conflict in the Mano River Union uprisings and the overwhelming use and abuse of children. According to the millennium development goals report; “Over 38 million children are without basic education in sub-Saharan Africa…”(UN) and this school is determined to act to address this issue.
The mission of Sabu International School is to provide comprehensive education that will challenge the students to become responsible world citizens and contributing members of their community. Our involvement in this school is to support the development of school staff and we are working to establish an exchange programme between the school and our Green SuperCamp® Australia programme, to share resources and teaching materials.
